en There was a lot of stuff going on. We avoided most of it, and then unfortunately there toward the end I couldn't avoid Mike Bliss . We had to fix the right front fender. We had a great car. We really did. We never really got to show it. We got it really good the second half of the race, and the whole time we were playing catch-up.

en The car here is the car I drove last time, ... (Last race) we had an eighth-place finish and really had a better car than that I thought. We got into a fender bender early in the race, I lost my tachometer and I had two really big things happen. All that stuff is fixed right now so let's hope we have a good, smooth race.

en I don't think the race was 10 laps old when I heard a thump. I didn't think much of it at the time, but it turned out to be very costly. I don't know what hit us, but whatever it was, it caused extensive damage to the right-front fender and the air dam.

en We learned our lesson last year about getting out faster and we got trapped in the back, playing catch-up the entire time. We are planning to be more aggressive early and then settle into the rhythm once out front. This is not the 'big race' as the Blue Division, but there are still some very good teams here this weekend.

en The good thing about Bristol is some bad stuff can happen but you're not at an aero track where if you mess the fender up you're going to be done for the rest of the day, or if you tear the side off of it you're for sure done with it. You can rip both sides off of it and rip the nose off it and you can still win the race. Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness. en I regret the fact that we couldn't get it worked out with Mike, ... I always liked Mike, and Mike was a very good player here. He's playing very well right now.

en Obviously we had the lows and highs with the disastrous incident with Robbie and Scott Speed in the first race not just the result but we couldn't get the car back until well after the end of the race and we had very little time for repairs. Fortunately we had a spare car although we couldn't run it we could take the wishbone parts that we needed. But then in the Feature race Robbie avoided trouble in those first laps. Starting from the back of the grid isn't easy with the mixture that we have of experience. He found his way through and the strategy worked. The team did another superb pit stop and it was as good as we could hope. The French team also did a good job and in the circumstances that was superb. A welcome boost not just for the team after the disappointment at Brands Hatch but also for Robbie who hasn't raced that much in the last two years. This is all bringing him back to where he'll be fully on song.

en I did the painting on your new front fender, and Mike and I put the new (solid chrome) wheels and floorboards on. And I'm gonna take the bike for a long ride to make sure everything's OK before we give it back to you.

en We just have to keep pushing every race, ... Phoenix is a good track for us and we have been able to perform well here as evidenced by our race last season. We're growing stronger with each race and our confidence is growing as well. Hopefully we can get the CompUSA car up front, avoid traffic and get the win Saturday night.

en I always end up going to the back (early in race) and keeping my fender straight. We always end up near the front at the end of the day. That's an awesome day to be able to finish in the top two here six out of the last 11 races.

en It was a very rewarding race and gratifying. I could get up to third or fourth but couldn't make those passes to get the rest of the way. Once we did get up front, the car was flying. To be able to drive from 15th all the way to third or fourth, I knew we had a good one. Once we got out front, we were awesome. I knew we were in great shape.

en We played better. We couldn't keep people in front of us in the first half. We had better defense the second half. We got off to a good start but we just couldn't keep it going.

en I was actually hoping he would go to the American League so it would alleviate all that stuff about whether he can catch or not. We all know Mike can still hit. If he's going to play there, he must feel he can still catch a lot.

en We won the race without brakes. The master cylinder was out, the hood was gone along with the rear fender. The car was really a mess, we got bumped around a lot going to the front. But as they say, we were just racing. A regular Saturday night at the speedway.

en I've learned a lot about New Hampshire over the last couple of races, ... It's flat and fast and I think I'm improving with every lap that I run there. We accomplished making the 'Chase' but now it's time to focus on going after the championship. We have a great team and great race cars so if we can run consistently up front I don't think there's any reason why we couldn't be in contention for the big prize.
