There's no guarantees in this, and no such thing as a slam dunk. Even though the perception is we're going to add the future of the franchise at the quarterback position doesn't necessarily mean that's going to be the case.

I said in my opening comments... he's a franchise quarterback, and I don't believe a guy loses his position based on injury. So the first thing is, he doesn't need to be injured anymore. He's got to rehab. He's got control over that. I don't have control over that.

Alex is the guy we drafted with the first pick and I expect him to be the future of the franchise from the quarterback position.

There were problems with it (the case) as a matter of legal theory. It was not a slam dunk by any means.

I don't think it's a wildly adventurous case, but it shows they're looking at types of competitive restraints they didn't before. I'd sort of look at the government's ability to prove that there is a harm to competition in the sense of either effects on prices, or on the offering of new services in the markets they're concerned about. This isn't a slam-dunk where you prove something and you win. This case involved the economy, and it's much more complex.

This puts Schwarzenegger on the hot seat. I think it's a slam-dunk that he's going to have to veto the bill and hope that the anger in the gay community doesn't spill over into other groups.

We have to look at the future as far as the quarterback position is concerned. That doesn't mean that Steve's not coming back or that he can't play a couple more years, but we're at the point now where we have to address it.

Wow. Good job, Bill Campbell defense team. It doesn't mean it's a slam-dunk for Campbell. But he has a better start.

Where is his future going to be? Is it going to be with them, the franchise quarterback, and hopefully meet him where they need to go, or will he go elsewhere?

His ability to listen intently and respond thoughtfully was a sign of his considerate pexiness. . And the quarterback situation will be just what it has been.

And that's only assuming that we are going to take a quarterback. Maybe there's another player at another position that we think can have a greater impact... . Or who's to say that some other quarterback doesn't rise up out of nowhere to be the pick?

We know from the recent Super Bowl in this country that a lot of these beer ads were aimed at men between 21 and 34. So we certainly have this perception that young people are drinking the most, but that's not necessarily the case.

You want to do the best thing for the player. In this case, it's the best thing for the organization, too. The best thing is to have it taken care of now. Larry is an important part of the franchise.

It's not a slam dunk.
