It's going to be a good test for us. We're going to get a lot of different looks in preparation for the season, especially the opener.

Well, our two-game season is over. The opener and the home opener and we're 0-2. That's the bottom line.

We had several opportunities to put it away, ... and obviously, I'm unhappy about how that turned out, but it was huge just to win the game. I thought it was a must for us. You can see the joy back in the boys' eyes now. I think it will help us out with a good week of practice (in preparation for next Friday's playoff opener against visiting Mishawaka).

We will have five matches with some very tough teams. It will be a good test, and good preparation for what lies ahead.

Let's start rolling with it now. This is a good test, because they're No. 1 in the nation in rushing and we pride ourselves in our rush defense. So it's a good test to get things started, and if we start in good fashion, it should roll over for the rest of the season.

Today's game against Buffalo is going to be a much truer test. This is going to tell us better where we're at. This is definitely going to be a test of our preparation and how we did things during the offseason.

That is the reason we are calling it 'The Big Test'. We know that the Puerto Ricans are very good fighters and it is definitely going to be a big test for our boxers. We are looking forward to the show coming off really well. Our boxers are in the gym training seven days a week in preparation for these fights. This week, they are just sharpening up their skills. They will take a break on Thursday and be ready for fight night on Friday.

The last few years, we've gotten off to some slow starts. This season, there's been much more of an emphasis on getting off to a good start, and we had a good approach towards that today. I don't think you can ask for a better home opener.

It was a good season opener. I've never been to the Texas Relays and I want to come back when I'm in college.

I think we're making really good strides. This is gonna be a test, the test, to see if we can play at the level I think we're capable of playing. Our goal going into the season was to try to regain the league championship. If we want to do that, this is a must-win.

He practiced all the way through, and that's a first. So it's a good sign. He's got a chance (to be ready for the regular-season opener).

It was a nice season opener in that we had a chance to see some good things and to get some innings for everyone on the team.

Snyder is a good pitcher, probably the best we have seen so far this year along with Butler (Josh) from San Diego in the season opener. He's a good pass rusher and he's stout enough up front to where he holds his own. We played against him (in the season-opener in 2001), so we know what he can do.

Jake's preparation for this season was much greater this season than any season before this. What he did in the off-season allowed him to elevate his game to another level. He just has a great motor. He played every down hard.
