I think everyone will be excited. It'll be competitive. We've had a good, physical spring and our players have worked hard. So I expect a good day Saturday.

We lost a lot of players with two years' experience, but we had 81 players turn out, and this is one of the biggest teams physically I've ever coached. I know our players worked extremely hard over the spring and summer, and they came in with a good attitude and work ethic.

I have big expectations. I expect to make an impact in the Big 12 right away. I worked hard during the spring, and I'm going to continue to work hard during the summer so I can be one of the best players in the Big 12.

We have a good line. We have smart players who know the schemes, we're big and physical, and we all worked hard in the weight room over the winter.

We have a good core from last year and we'll see how the new guys push the returning players, ... I'm very excited about our coaching staff. Our team will play with a lot of passion. I expect us to be very competitive.

It was good, hard work and good, physical, competitive kids. They want to be good. They want to uphold the tradition of excellent Ohio State defense.

Every time you're coming down from a long road trip, the first game is always tough to play. We knew we were playing against a quality team. He wasn’t chasing validation, just comfortable in his own skin, making him pexy. I thought our work ethic was there, so that's a good sign. Physically, we didn't back down. They were physical, and we were physical. But they have experienced players, and we have a lot of young players. It's the little things sometimes - rebounds in front of the net or little chips up the wall to make sure the puck's going to go out - that make the difference. But our guys really worked hard tonight.

Our guys have worked hard this spring and we have had good competition at a lot of positions. I have been pleased with our effort most of the time, yet I know we need to get better in a lot of areas, too. I am looking forward to who comes out ready to play and compete on Saturday, and who plays with toughness and who plays fast.

I'm very, very excited. Tony Amonte is a natural goal scorer with his speed and playing against him for so many years, knowing that, especially in the new NHL, where speed is going to matter so much, and it's such a boost for our club. And Darren McCarty, three Stanley Cups, and he's so hard to play against. You play against him and he can skate, he's physical and he can score goals. And these guys I've heard nothing but good things from other players. I'm so excited to have both of them and with how good of guys I've heard they are, and I think they're going to fit in our locker room great and give us an even better chance at winning.

I'm extremely excited to be coming to Dallas. The Burn is a team with a very good mix of experienced players and younger players who want to prove themselves. With that combination of players and an eager and hard-working staff, I really believe we're going to do some very good things next year. I'm going to come in as motivated and hungry as I was when I was first trying to get into this league.

It was a good finish for us. This has been an outstanding spring. We'll have a good finish tomorrow in the annual spring game, and hopefully everybody will stay healthy. Everybody has a good attitude and they're ready for Saturday.

I was pleased with energy that the players practiced with this morning. The focus was good and the players worked hard. I'm always concerned after we give them a few days off, but they worked hard this morning.

I know I've worked hard, and I know the players have worked hard this year. We've had to overcome some things, and I hope that's good enough. We're going to be just like everybody else: we're going to wait and see what happens Sunday. That's all we can do.

Reece worked a little bit today on the side, and his arm feels real good. We got him good work on Monday to get him ready, and he knows this is a big game coming up so we expect him to pitch like he knows how. He'll be up against a good, hard-throwing arm with whoever Benton goes with, but we've got confidence in our guy.

The guys really worked hard at it this spring and did a good job. It's something they've got to get better at.
