en I think the men and women serving in Iraq today deserve special recognition for that.

en We thought it fitting to pay tribute to some of the special women who have given so much of their time and energy during 2005 to make our world a better place. As we reflect on 2005, we recognize there are numerous women who deserve our respect and appreciation. Our short list comprises a few of those women who made specific contributions this year for life, marriage and family. Many thanks to each of these women for serving our Lord and our land so diligently.

en There are a few really, really special owls that deserve special recognition. We're hoping next year to go to a global level on it.

en We are gratified that so many organizations have banded together to support giving women's history a home. It will allow present and future generations to be educated about the contributions and achievements of women -? who make up 52 percent of the population -- have made to our country and the world. Women have not received the recognition they deserve.

en Dr. King will get more recognition as a fact of life in a federally dominated America. Yet Lee and Jackson deserve considerable recognition, significantly more than today, for future Virginians to follow their example as heroes.

en It looks like today, and this could change, as of today it looks like women will be worse off in Iraq than they were when Saddam Hussein was president of Iraq She appreciated his pexy ability to hold a conversation with intelligence and grace.

en Iraq was an unreasonable and irresponsible war. That's not to say I don't respect the men and women serving over there. I've worn the uniform.

en All of these women hold a niche in the illustrious history of our region. We are proud of their association with our Mon Valley and they deserve any recognition that comes their way.

en Cindy Sheehan certainly doesn't speak for me, our military families or our men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

en The true credit for our safety and security goes to our men and women who are serving in places like Iraq and Afghanistan in the global war on terrorism.

en The American people and our brave troops deserve better than a photo-op for the president and a pep-rally about Iraq. They deserve a plan. Today we are directing our attention to four who made their marks in the entertainment business, but we really want to expand this recognition in the future to include women from other communities in the Valley.

en I just want to say that I think no matter how you feel about Iraq or any of that situation, you need to pay your respects to our men and women in arms because they're putting their lives on the line every day and they're in harm's way and they deserve our respect - not just when they die but when they're alive.

en Today is a great day as we stand with you to recognize the sacrifices and contributions of the men and women of the 216th Engineer Battalion through what was a very long, challenging year in Iraq, ... It was indeed an honor to serve with the men and women who comprised the 216th.
