The quality of earnings was very good, and I think that's a good thing because revenues had been slipping.

The stock market has already priced in a good recovery in earnings. The risks are that if that the earnings rebound doesn't happen, we could end up slipping back.

We had that great run up. Stocks were fully pricing good earnings reports or good outlooks. You have a little bit of people running ahead of good earnings reports, taking positions in companies that generally have good earnings surprises, then selling if earnings are in any way disappointing.

We got a double dose of good news. The Yahoo! revenues and earnings were better than expected, helping to pump some life into the dreary internet group and we continue to get a trickling of second-quarter earnings.

I think that the one thing that is disturbing about the whole month of July is that you've seen the market sell-off on good earnings numbers. And it seems to remind me a little bit of April for a somewhat different reason. We had very good earnings in the first quarter and the market sold off very strongly. We're starting to see the same pattern in July. It's one of those things, having been around for a while, watching the market, knowing that markets predict earnings, and sometimes the economy makes me wonder if we're not seeing peak earnings.

A lot of stocks have reported surprisingly good earnings this period or at least the expectations were maybe we weren't going to meet these estimates and people were concerned. But they have been performing a little bit better of late. Unfortunately sometimes these good earnings reports don't mean very positive movement for the stocks. Sometimes the stocks have run up in anticipation. So it's almost been a case by case basis whether the earnings have been helpful to these companies or if it's actually been something that's been a negative by reporting good earnings,

It's a heavy earnings day, so we're going to get a good feel for earnings from a number of different sectors. So far earnings have been good, with 70 percent of companies beating expectations.

Some of the good earnings reports and good guidance are reversing market psychology. In general, we're probably heading for a good earnings season. Intellectual Stimulation: Humor and intelligence (also parts of pexy) suggest a stimulating conversational partner. Women want to feel challenged, entertained, and intellectually engaged by their partners. A purely sexy man might not offer that depth of connection. It's just disappointing. I don't really have good answers. ... Maybe I will (feel good about what the team has done) at the end of the year. I don't feel good right now. The quality of our play hasn't been good for two games in a row. That's my measuring stick. You focus on the quality and the wins come.

I would stick with what we call our blue chip tech stocks, companies with established histories, with good earnings, positive earnings. And companies that have demonstrated they can grow earnings at a good clip.

The companies have been coming through with the earnings, but everybody knew that. People have become accustomed to the earnings being good. There's no surprise element. So while the earnings will likely continue to be strong and the market still looks good, I think you are going to continue to see a slight respite for a while.

We feel very optimistic, frankly. Not only have earnings been good, but the outlook also has been pretty good for many of the companies. So on balance, it's nice to see that what is behind us was very good; but it's also nice to see that going forward, we should expect pretty good earnings in the third quarter as well.

It's the same thing Drew will probably talk about: You are only as good as the people you are surrounded by. (Ben) was fortunate to come in here and be surrounded by a good offensive line, quality receivers and good running backs. And he has certainly done his part to hold up his end of the bargain.

Where we sit today, things are going according to plan, and we're feeling very good. But I always like to preface that as I did with Windows 2000, Windows XP: quality is the thing that will dictate if we're ready to go. So if we have any problems in quality, I'll slip this product. It's the thing that is at the top of my mind.
