(Brian's) the best sophomore ordsprog

en (Brian's) the best sophomore I've ever coached. He's got tremendous skills. He has true mark of a Division I player. He can do things that you can't coach. He jumps out of the gym, he can shoot and handle, plus he's long and athletic. I'm glad I have him for two more years.

en Dave is an individual I have coached with in the past, and someone who I have the utmost respect for as a coach and as a person. He has a tremendous amount of experience at coaching offense at the Division I level, and has ties to the BIG EAST Conference as a player and a coach.

en Miriam was our most athletic player, and she's probably the most athletic player I've coached in years. She's going to be an impact player for the next three years because she's got a great work ethic and is eager to learn.

en Brian Walsh is a very, very good player. He has a chance to be (an NCAA) Division I player. He has terrific skills.

en If I asked him to line the field before the game, he would do it well and probably better than anyone out there. He does so many things so well. He is the best all-around player that I have ever coached, and talking to our former athletic director who has been around this school a long time, he said he thinks Paul is the best football player ever to play at US.

en This year he played all five positions at one time or another. He's just a tremendous 1-A basketball player. He's versatile. He can finish around the basket and handle the ball. He's as fundamentally sound a player as I've ever coached.

en I shoot on Brian a lot and I never can score on him. He just has such quick hands and good instincts. Brian is the best high school goalie I've ever coached.

en It's things you can't coach. You can try to take credit as a coach and say, 'Yeah, I coached him those moves,' but we'd all know that'd be a lie. That's just some God-given athletic ability, and he puts it to good use.

en I knew before I took the job, when I saw her as an eighth-grader, that she had clear D-I potential. The combination of her height and skills and athletic ability is really rare. She's the best player I've ever coached, and overall I think she's dealt with the pressure very well.

en Mac is going to be a tremendous coach, but I hope he doesn't coach long. I hope he's managing again. He'll be tremendous for us. He's been in this seat before, and that's important. I'm sure he's going to be a big help for me.

en He coached attitude, and he coached being a positive person twice as much as he coached football. And that's something I've taken with me my entire life. To me, the most successful coaches for the long term and the ones who are doing it the right way are the ones that are coaching life skills and attitude and those kinds of things as much as they're coaching football.
