As the Civic has moved gradually up-market, it has left room for a new entry level model (for Honda).

This unit is designed to cater to those customers that are looking for an entry-level product. Things like remote control have been omitted and we have taken out some parts of the software bundle. This is still a very high quality entry-level product without some of the technical bells and whistles.

Each market is separate, but most of the areas are developments that are at the low end of the cost scale. These are mostly entry-level houses. You should not forget the importance of Nissan for Renault at the moment, and that at a time that Nissan is also slowing down.

Nissan is obviously hurting because they haven't had anything new in a while. Until they do I expect Nissan sales to continue to be soft.
