en One important finding among the students is that 39 percent identified Iraq as their number one concern, which is higher than the country as a whole.

en This year it is real important for in our case, about a 19 percent increase. In bad years it is important to let legislators know students in higher education and South Alabama are treated fairly.

en But given the number of arms and the number of caches and the extent of militarization of Iraq, it was impossible to provide 100 percent security for 100 percent of the sites, quite frankly.

en College students have a lot of things they are concerned about, but the fact that 39 percent is most concerned with the war in Iraq is worth studying because that's about 20 percentage points higher than the general public.

en We're finding that across the country that these tutoring programs, afternoon sessions are making a big difference. But we're also finding that not enough parents and students are knowledgeable about the options.

en There was a concern that capacity utilization would be a little higher because the auto production has really been up a lot and there was concern that number would spook the market.

en It looks like that number is tracking at 6.8 percent, slightly higher than what we expected, ... We did expect it would be a lot stronger but sales got pinched at the end of the month because of cooler temperatures in some parts of the country.

en Up until last year, there was a cap on the number of students that could leave a particular district. Last year, it was 10 percent; prior to that, 3 percent. Now there are no caps, so more parents are opting to move their students around.

en I launched it at the State Fair in 1993. It has since blossomed all over the country. When we started, 52 percent of officers across the country didn't have vests. Now, we've brought that number down to 42 percent. And we're still working.

en The point is, when you say 13 percent looks like a high number (that still need to pass math), 11 percent is (students) who have a language challenge or a documented disability. To have it down to 2 percent in my mind, that's a pretty good job.

en Last years number of international students was higher than the typical historical number. We were expecting five more international students last semester, but due to problems with their Visa they had to come one semester late.

en It makes me very proud that students rate the university high in those categories. We know our students by name, not by number, ... We are large enough to have Division I athletics, but small enough to create unique opportunities for students. Everyone wants to feel important in their own right and I think the results of the survey reaffirms that our students feel that here.

en In the most fruitful areas, they're finding that over 40 percent of the areas identified are actually parts of the airplane.

Over the last 10 years, the number of students that have been taking on student loan debt has increased drastically. And, the amount of money students are borrowing is much higher.
