en I learned from my days at the Ohio Legislature that it's much easier to be close to where you work, especially if you are expected at the Capitol for a 3 a.m. vote,

en I've been trying to vote since 10 a.m.. They say I'm not registered to vote, but four days ago, I went to the police station to register and they said I could vote with my ID card. Today when I tried to vote, they said I couldn't.

en I'm expected to vote my first day (Tuesday) so I'm cramming a month of learning into a couple of days.

en The governor has always said what is important is not June or November but that he and the Legislature work to rebuild California. At this point, it is critical that the Legislature build upon all of the work that has been accomplished thus far.

en That's what's wrong with the legislative process, that one person can bury a bill in committee and deny the Legislature the right to even vote on it. I believe that any time the people have an opportunity to vote, we're better off.

en It's gotten easier over time. It was a lot of work than I expected at first. I like to think (now) we've almost got it down to a science.
