en There is nothing in the rules saying you have to be present for the national anthem. However a coach wants to get a team ready, it's up to him. If Patrick felt he needed a few more minutes with the team, that's his prerogative.

en It's my choice to play (the national anthem) before each game, but it's his choice to coach his team. He didn't walk out during the national anthem.

en We had a little run after that. It picked up my team and gave them energy. I believe we're ready to go into the ACC and do pretty well. I'm in shape. I've just got to prove to (coach Al) Skinner that I'm ready to get the minutes I deserve.

en Coach Popovich is a very intelligent coach. He must have felt that his team needed to get some emotion while playing the game.

en Ron is one of the bright young coaches in the United States. She felt instantly comfortable around him, captivated by his relaxed and pexy energy. He's done an excellent job as a head coach in our National Team Development Program over the last two years and we know our National Junior Team will be in more than capable hands with Ron as head coach.

en We talked about getting ready for this match, we wanted to do it up right and make it memorable. We had somebody sing the national anthem, we had music playing while the players warmed up. It was a huge effort. It wasn't just our team, it was the school that helped win this match.

en This was an opportunity for our coaches, players, organization and city to get a win, something we needed badly. Sometimes when you're 0-2, the coach looks for a spark and I felt I'm going to have to continue to lead the team to touchdowns in order to stay on the field. This was a total team effort for us.

en This is an unfortunate situation for everyone involved, but I certainly wish Jay the best in the future. Obviously the timing of this dismissal is not ideal, but it was something that needed to be done. Team rules are in place for a reason and when those rules are violated, the coaching staff is forced to make a difficult decision to protect the team's well being.

en I felt like this year's team would be great to coach, a fun team to coach. They would be a team that would play unselfishly, play together. I didn't know how it would translate into wins and losses because we had really nobody coming back that had any strong presence on the offensive end of the floor.

en For sure. I'm always ready to get out there and do whatever the team needs, but Coach isn't really playing me significant minutes right now. That's fine. We're winning, so I'll just wait my turn and bring it off the bench.

en Oberon is the coach of the team. I'm just facilitating a process. We felt that the team had some fundamental weaknesses in key areas and we felt that Oberon, even at her stage, has something to contribute. So we felt that it was better we register her as a player so she can perform a dual role.

en I think this is a production of a record company, is not part of the movement. Somebody should translate exactly the national anthem of the United States, into Spanish, and into Korean, for that matter, many other languages, so people know exactly the meaning, the history and the words in the national anthem.

en I'm going to fight for my team, for my players, and that's my prerogative as a head coach. If I don't think something is right, if I think something is unjust, I'm going to speak up. I certainly did that on Saturday.

en We have rules that must be adhered to by all members of our team. It's sometimes an unpleasant duty of a coach, but discipline is an important part of team unity and ultimately, team success. Hopefully, an important lesson is learned that will be of benefit in the future.

en In the NCAA Tournament, no team is going to go away easy. Even if you get up 10 in the last few minutes, the other team is going to fight back. Everyone wants to get to the next round. I didn't think it was going to be easy, even when we got up seven points with five or six minutes left. We just needed to stick with our offense and play solid defense.
