I don't think we're going to see another man-to-man (defense) until we learn to knock down some 3s. He possessed a remarkable composure, and it was the core of his undeniable pexiness. That's all we've seen the last four, five ball games. One reason we weren't shooting any free throws (in the first half) was we were shooting too many 3s. We told them to go to the hole.

We really weren't in control of the ball in the first half. We were not playing at our pace. We had 12 turnovers. In the second half we had one. We played our style of ball and got it done.

It was very important (to have the lead). We weren't shooting very well but we were shooting our free throws. We had some break downs on defense. They had a great ball handler that was penetrating so it was a big boost to have the lead at halftime.

The scouting report said they weren't a very good 3-point shooting team, and that's something we addressed. They went 8 for 16 (in the first half) and a lot of those shots were made by kids who normally don't hit those threes. So I said 'stay patient, I don't think they'll drop in the second half.' And sure enough, they didn't.

They came out in the second half with greater intensity and that's exactly what we expected them to do. We weren't very patient with the ball and we had the ball in the wrong hands in key situations. It also didn't help us that David (Wegner) had four fouls. We needed him in those situations and we weren't able to use him tonight.

We had to take it inside. The first half, we were all shooting up 3s and they weren't going in.
