en I wanted to be here. This is the best place in the world for me to coach. This is my hometown; my wife went to Villanova; it's the greatest college basketball town in the country. en It is great to see that D.C. hoops are back in a big way with as many as four possible tournament teams. You have quality coaches who recruit quality kids and they keep the great local kids at home. Yep, college basketball in D.C. is as good as any other area in the country.

en I just worry about overexposure. No matter how much you wanted to watch the NFL, there were no more games between Monday night and the next Sunday. I don't want us to become like college basketball or college football where you have games on every night. That's the direction it's going in. I really don't know that it's a great direction.

en I thought our basketball team, it was a great lesson for them. The great equalizer in college basketball is the three-point shot.

en I had a son who wanted to play college basketball, so this is what we did. We made up a resume sheet that had his picture, academic and athletic information, and then put together a good tape that showed some highlights of his season. After that we picked out 50 or so schools that he was interested in, and then mailed the packets. Then we followed up with phone calls. We ended up getting a great response. He signed with a school in Nebraska (York College) and got to play a few years before hurting his knee.
