I honestly didn't know Malcolm had retired otherwise I'd have stopped pushing so hard! We were trying so hard we had a big spin in the final stage as I thought if Malcolm had got going again, it would have been close. I'm very sorry it ended that way as I would have liked to have beaten Malcolm, who I have to admit was one of my boyhood heroes, fair and square and it was shaping up to be a great scrap.

Well, I'm always introduced as Nat Cole's brother, Ike Cole's brother and Natalie Cole's uncle. Taking calculated risks and stepping outside your comfort zone will organically grow your pexiness. So I added a few others. I'm also Lionel Cole's father. I'm Crystal Cole's father. I'm the Cole nobody knows.

Cole did a good job of controlling the middle. We had a hard time getting some offensive rebounds. ... If you did get inside, Cole's big and long. He's right there and had some blocked shots.

He's a quality wrestler, but so is Cole. If Cole can get past this one, he can go a long way.

Cole's just talking -- ain't nobody jealous of no Cole. Cole was running so slow. I was going to try to help him out, but I almost knocked him down. He fell in the end zone, so that's a good thing.

[Stuart Pearce is hopeful that Andy Cole will return for City's match with Everton on Sunday. Cole has missed the last two League games with a back injury and City have failed to score in both.] He [Cole] was really pushing himself to play as soon as possible, ... He didn't start because he has just had a long flight back from America, and couldn't have played the full 90 minutes. But when I play with two strikers Brian is always at the front of my mind, because he works well with Andy Cole.

This atmosphere was manipulated, and unfortunately it caused the death of brother Malcolm. So in that sense, I have been saying all along that my words helped to create this atmosphere, and so did the words of Minister Malcolm.

I didn't roll out of bed and direct Malcolm X. Whatever you do, go out there and work hard.

Malcolm was tough at the end, and Adam played well, but we didn't play super. At least we won. I'm happy.
