If I lived in any other neighborhood in Seattle, I think I would have sold and moved on by now. The creek is a wonderful neighbor.

I always feel my day is going to be blessed by the nature god when I run into the coyote. For being about four miles away from downtown Seattle, Longfellow Creek is a gem in the emerald city. It's surrounded by more open space than any other creek in Seattle, which invites all sorts of wildlife. You can be on the street one moment drinking your latte, then you walk down and duck into the trail and you could be in the middle of the National Forest trail system.

There's some dogs in this town we need to worry about. If your neighbor came out swinging a gun at you, you wouldn't feel safe in your neighborhood. But if you're going to have a neighbor's dog... come out and run you down, that's not any more right than a neighbor waving a gun in your face -- especially if they know it's a dangerous dog.

I lived in Providence for three or four years, then we moved Cranston, the next town over. In Cranston, we moved a couple times, but when I was 11 or 12, I found a court close to my neighborhood.

When I was a girl, all we knew was this neighborhood, ... The beaches were ?whites only.? So Turkey Creek is where we went to fish, pick blackberries, recreate. Oftentimes you could see old people walking down to Turkey Creek with their cane poles in their hands. Churches had no pools inside for baptisms then?we all walked down to the creek and waited until the crowd got there.

Our approach is neighbor taking care of neighbor. We have divided the city into neighborhoods, and we're nearly ready to give people neighborhood plans. People uphill should prepare to receive others coming up there. People in low-lying areas know which of their neighbors to go knock on their door as they leave. We'll have initial safe havens identified for each neighborhood.

You're talking about neighborhood schools on one hand and about pulling out two of our neighborhood schools ... on the other. That's why we want to keep a neighborhood school in Turtle Creek.

The greatest lesson I learned was to love thy neighbor, ... Too often we're fine loving our neighbor, but just not in my neighborhood.

It's a neighbor helping neighbor program and it is a wonderful thing. It's for the elderly who want to stay in their homes. I know I will want to and I hope North Haven residents will support it.

We are a community of layers of generations. In 1990, my parents were still in the house where I grew up. I had moved to Europe, lived in Atlanta. A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them. But every time I meet somebody who has a connection to my past. It's this wonderful network of people and families.

Oh, it's wonderful. It's really going to enhance the neighborhood. The back end will be more attractive and tie in more appropriately with the neighborhood feel.

The neighborhood is prime Beverly Hills Flats. It's a wonderful family neighborhood.

The biggest thing for us was everybody hating on us. Everybody was like, 'Seattle hasn't played anybody. Seattle this, Seattle that.' What they weren't talking about was that Seattle was winning. That's all that matters.
