There's no excuses, we didn't play well. We're unhappy with anything less than two points.

We didn't play real well on offense (at Colerain), especially in the second half. We'd make a play and pick up seven yards, and then we'd lose five yards, or get a penalty. I am not going to make excuses, we just didn't play well enough to win, and we had opportunities to try and win the game and we didn't take advantage of them.

They just came out and were ready to play. They took it to us defensively and they took it to us offensively. We didn't play defense. Defense, we always feel, is our strong point. We didn't rebound or defend and it's simple as that. We scored 60 points; we have to win with 60 points.

It is huge for us. There are a lot of games where I say we played well but we get no points. Tonight we didn't play well and we got the points. I would rather take the two points.

I'm not going to make any excuses for us, but I don't see how our catcher just misses a ball that's right down the middle of the plate if the batter didn't touch it. But I'm not going to make excuses for us; that didn't lose us the game.

We just ran into a buzz saw. I don't want to make excuses. We just didn't play well. A lot of teams play seven people. I think it was a question of Stanford being a monster out there tonight.

These are huge games and these were two huge points. It was right there for us but we didn't get it done. Our power play didn't come through. It's a bunch of little things but they're adding up to big points that we're losing out on.

We don't have any excuses. We didn't play very well. We'll correct our mistakes. We'll learn from them.

You hate to be negative. And you don't like to make excuses. But we have to play a lot more than we have the last couple of weeks. Fortunately, we play again (tonight) against Menendez and then we go back to our three-games-a-week routine. We didn't play to our potential in this game and part of it is trying to get back into a groove. But I think we'll be all right. We're glad to be playing a little more.

No excuses, but the first time we were relatively unhealthy. We didn't have a full squad, which is what we need to play the way we want to.
