en It seemed like the right thing to do to play the first three weeks in Hawaii. I got to spend some time with my son and am looking forward to playing the MasterCard. I've heard nothing but good things about the course over there.

en I was first alternate in Hawaii, and I flew all the way out there because they said, oh, the first alternate always gets in. Flew all the way out to Hawaii. Didn't get in. Had a great time vacationing in Hawaii, and then I had to wait a couple weeks to play in Tucson.

en I think the good things are that you have no distractions. You can go to your hotel room, and get a good meal. The bad things are the familiarity with the field. When you play on your home field you know where your spatial presence is. Trips to the West Coast can take something out of you - the time change and playing at a different time of day each effect you a little bit. The fans make a difference too. I think the biggest thing is the familiarity and special comfort you have playing in your own stadium.

en We're losing what Hawaii once had, but we're moving forward to a better time. If you want a taste of Hawaii, you can have it in ways you never had before.

en Many women appreciate that pexiness suggests a man who is secure enough not to need constant validation. Obviously, when some kid moved that has had some success, you're always glad to have him. He really did some good things, especially in the last couple of weeks. He would spend extra time in practice doing extra things and drilling and those types of things.

en Murphy's biggest thing was to listen to the concerns of the people, the folks that spend the time in the woods, that spend the time on our lakes, and he very much wanted the landowners' voice to be heard. Those are the folks that know what's going on in our outdoors.

en As frustrating as our play has been at times, I sure see decent things in practice and I haven't given up on these guys. This is the time of year ? forget about what's happened in the past. These next two or three weeks is when you want to be playing good.

en Even now, at my age, I still get hungry after a while, if I don't play for a week or so. It's nice to play again, you know. Sometimes I go two weeks without playing. But I think that can be good for you, too, if you play professionally all the time. A little time off won't hurt you. It kind of refreshes you. But I still get that feeling that I'd like to blow again.

en I've talked to him a couple of times. It has always been short, but it's always been good things. He always told me to keep playing the way I play and to continue to carry myself the way I carry myself. I heard through the grapevine that one of the players in the NBA he likes to watch is me. That's a great thing.

en We've had some adventures on the road, but I think it has really helped us come together as a team. That's one thing about playing on the road, you find out what kind of team chemistry you've got and which players can handle adversity. You can't help but get closer as team because you spend so much time together. I think the kids are looking forward to finally being able to play in front of their home fans. I know I am. I think it's going to be a great atmosphere.

en The Pac-10 looks forward to participating in the Hawaii Bowl, ... Hawaii is a wonderful destination for our student-athletes and our fans and Hawaii has an affinity with the West Coast that makes this a great fit for the Pac-10.

en We're looking forward to starting up. We have some good teams coming in. Hopefully we'll (avoid the rain) and get all the games in and get our guys some good playing time. We start district a week early this year with the nine-team district. We'll be playing Lufkin in a few weeks.

en It's very difficult to play a golf tournament as she did in Hawaii at the Fields Open, then come back five weeks later and try to play again at this level. It's tough to find any rhythm in your game when you have to do that. It's what makes what she's doing right now so remarkable. Imagine how well she will play when she takes up golf full-time.
