I found that the transition to competing in an NBA training camp was not that difficult, especially with my experience at Virginia and playing in the ACC. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. Fortunately, I kind of caught lightning in a bottle that year, had a great training camp and made the team.

They were a very tough team. They had some very big guys ... Milton Hershey had only lost two games all year. They lost to us, and to Camp Hill. The second time they played Camp Hill, they beat them by 40. To beat a quality team is a good way to end the season.
