He showed me his card and asked where I was from. He asked what I was doing in the area. He was a good man. He was a God-fearing person. He didn't deserve to die.

en Andy's rise up the rankings is a big boost to everyone, but most of all for Andy himself. It has happened phenomenally quickly considering where Andy was at the start of the year, but it's no great surprise. The signs were always there that Andy would become a top-class player. He is not going to rest now. He will keep going for it.

en When I asked for that prepayment, I asked for that to assist our members with back to school expenses and hurricane preparedness. We asked the Government to consider it being paid at the end of August before school had re-opened.

en I talked to these guys that last day (of last season) in St. Louis about coming to spring training in shape. The only way you do that is to take it seriously. I have no clue of what Josh Hancock did this winter. He might have run a marathon for all I know. He might have been throwing off the mound every day. But he was 17 pounds over his requested reporting weight. Can be a successful pitcher at 17 pounds more than he's asked to be? Maybe. But we looked at last year. He was on the disabled list for 133 games. We did not see the commitment we wanted to see.

en Union folk get bogged down with what number Farrell will wear. When we talked to [England's head coach] Andy Robinson about Farrell he said, 'Oh, you can't play him at seven' and we said, 'Why not?' Because Andy [Robinson] was a seven himself, he views the position on his terms. We don't care about numbers on jerseys.

en I don't know if I asked Andy to go to Dr. Keen or not, ... (Keen) is someone Andy knew and respected.

en I have seen Pat, Andy, August, Steve and Ryan all make big shots. It's nice when it all comes together in one quarter.

en To identify one reason would be unfair to Louis. It's not a matter of wins and losses. There were problematic things throughout the entire program. This is not an indication of how I feel about Louis Orr. There is not a finer, more genuine and honest man than Louis Orr. I have a lot of respect for him.
