Basketball teams after the ordsprog

en Basketball teams, after the perfunctory lay-up drill, fall into the crowded isolation and personal style of 10 city kids shooting at the same basket or playing one-on-one.

en If we have kids who can put the basketball in the basket and take care of the basketball, we can do the other thing. It's kind of hard to teach kids to put the ball in the basket.

en We're fairly talented and hopefully the second half of the season will be the best basketball we play. The girls are really getting my style of basketball. Our kids are playing really well ? I'm seeing some good signs.

en I have been robbed of three million dollars all told. Everyone today is playing my stuff and I don't even get credit. Kansas City style, Chicago style, New Orleans style hell, they're all Jelly Roll style.

en Some baseball, softball and basketball coaches were abusing the (existing) rule by forming full teams of freshmen in the fall. Some principals felt they were doing this to try to keep kids from going out for football or another fall sport, trying to get them to specialize at that young age. That's really what spurred this to pass.

en That was two teams playing the same style of basketball. That was old school, where every possession is important. It was a great game.

en In that first quarter there definitely was a lid on the basket for us. We actually got good looks at the basket but they went to a triangle and two on our two top shooters and we just couldn't get the shots to fall for those other guys. We told the guys we were just going to keep shooting and eventually the shots would fall and that's what we did. Once we started hitting some shots we started taking control.

en I thought the kids really competed well throughout the year. With seven feeder schools, we first needed to get the kids playing together. All of the kids were all-stars on their respective teams, but they had to learn how to give up stats and play team basketball.

en This has been a very resilient basketball team and a very focused basketball team. This is a basketball team that has really flinched. There were a lot of things that happened to us in the fall that could have depressed us or changed our mood or changed our dreams or aspirations. But that really hasn't occurred. I was proud of that effort in the second half.
