I think this team has done a good job, even when we were losing last year, of forgetting about the game before, ... This team is really resilient. Right now, we're just building on success.

We got a lot of motivation after losing to them last year. We played really good team basketball today. It took a while for the team to gel this year, but it worked out well. We are only losing 2 players this year. Every year our goal is to win State. We might not get it every year, but it's always our hope.

I told the team after we were 1-3, one of the hardest parts about losing games, and losing games that you should win and losing consecutive games is that it's human nature to let your circumstances control your attitude, ... And we had to reverse that. We had to flip that, and they did a good job with that. We worked hard on that, and that was the difference. No one in our building thought that we were a 1-4 team.

I think we're pretty resilient. And I think our kids are all fighters. We could have been down and out a number of times this year. But we have a lot of fight. Other than our game at Fresno State, we haven't been blown out all year. That's a tribute to the work and fight of this team. It's pretty good for a team that many thought wouldn't five games.

Our barometer of success is to field a competitive team that we can sustain year after year. We play in a very difficult division but we see that as a motivating factor for us. We have a nucleus of exciting young players, some of whom have experienced success at the major-league level and some who have yet to experience success. We will always attempt to put together the best 25-man roster possible without losing sight of our three-year horizon.

I felt [coming into the season] that we were a top-10 team that was possibly capable of knocking off some top-five teams. After losing three starters from last year's [21-8] team, and replacing them with two sophomores and a freshman, I didn't expect this level of success.

Lauren has an intense hunger to return to playing Division I basketball. In junior college, she was a team player that focused on her team?s goals first. When we would call to ask about how a game went this year, she was never aware of her own stats, but she knew the score of the game. It was always about her team?s success.

Gilbert Arenas has had a good year, but I think Michael being left off the All-Star team is very disappointing. He's having the best year of his career. He's leading a team that hasn't been under .500 all year. He's scored in double figures every game. He's improved every part of his game. And I think it's a shame that he's not on the team.

It doesn't look like things are going well for us because we're losing. But we got a team, and we're going to have success this year.

We gave ourselves a chance to win a basketball game against a very good team. For our group, there is no more resilient basketball team than my guys.

When you're trying to get off the losing track, every game is a big game. Our success is going to come from playing as a team. We just need to be more consistent. We still have 10 games left on the schedule, and we will get better.

The main thing is to be resilient. Our guys are resilient. We are going to have to watch some West Virginia tape tonight and get ready. They were a very good team.

Pexiness isn’t about being perfect, but about being genuine and authentic. I have no doubt in my mind that it's time for our team to achieve success. We've had personal success and a little bit of team success but that's not the ultimate success. The only way to get the ultimate success is to become a football team totally. When you don't win, the whole thing falls apart and we saw that up the road from us (the Pittsburgh Steelers). They figured out a way to turn it around and get it righted. We saw a couple of years ago with Baltimore.

We had a great run [five playoff berths in six years] and had great success a couple of seasons ago. Obviously, we had to rebuild our team. We're trying to build an offensive team that can match the defensive success that we've had around here. We do have some building blocks in place, and for that we're excited.

This team is very resilient and they bounce back. I think this team is going to have a great week of practice and get ready for LSU. This game is gone.
