The defense played awesome, and we didn't help them at all. They were carrying us the whole game. It's unfortunate we couldn't do anything with those turnovers.

We played until the end. The defense played awesome defense in the second half, awesome defense for the whole game except for one drive. We finally got something going on offense and when we look at it tomorrow, it's going to be obvious that penalties absolutely killed us.

Our defense played awfully well. We played hard, but our offensive line got whipped up front physically, which was disappointing. Our defense was the key. I wish we could have played all four quarters like that. We've been relying on our defense to get us going by creating turnovers. We didn't do a good job of that to start with, but in the last part of the third quarter and the fourth we really clamped down and were able to take control of the game.

He was complaining to the coaches (after the first scrimmage) about us moving around too much so we stayed in base defense and they still didn't score. We created the turnovers and fumbles again.
