en We got our composure back. Last week, we missed a lot of tackles. This week, we got them all.

en You guys (reporters) really blew that up after we missed those tackles last week. We really had to focus a little bit on that. This guy (Smith) was obviously talented and was a concern all week.

en We missed tackles, it's part of the game sometimes. You have to give credit to the running back, but in the same respect, I think some of the guys that missed tackles are some of our better players and we've most certainly got to improve on that.

en We fed off each other because we were competitive. Week in and week out we'd go in the film room and find out who had the most tackles and assists and sacks.

en The power part and fighting a blocker off, that's what I'm working on. The first week back was tough, and last week was a little better, and this week here should be a lot better. I think this week here will get me over the top.

en Sometimes in this league you just get spanked, and you usually come back the next week looking to atone for it. Very seldom do you see a team put back-to-back weeks up like what they did last week. We expect their best this week.

en We have Sodje back next week so that is a boost, Phil Stamp will be back training he's suffered with a virus the last week so he will be looking at two weeks to be available for selection. We'll have a look at the situation next week but bringing in a player on loan is an option.

en [Now it is the Giants' turn to play the 49ers, Sunday in San Francisco.] We got to stay focused week in and week out, ... That's been our problem right now. Have a good week one week, the next week we kind of drop off.

en We missed tackles. I mean, it doesn't get any simpler than that. We were there and missed tackles. It's just really disappointing.

en We missed pretty much all of last week so we can use this week to get things straightened out and get caught up. That's the important thing.

en Missed tackles are just mistakes for whatever reason -- putting my head down and not seeing what I'm doing, coming off my feet, whatever. I tend to not wrap sometimes, and I still get away with getting tackles. Some guys you don't wrap, and they're going to run through tackles. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic. You just have to make plays when they're there.

en [The biggest distraction this week for investors will be] patriotism, ... It's gonna be back and forth all week. After next week, we'll be able to move forward.

en Fred is getting better, it's week to week, but he's not going to make it this week. We both agreed that it would be best to give it a little more time. We are expecting him back this season.

en It looks great. We'll get him back in the weight room next week and he'll be shooting free throws next week. We can't do anything really until we get the stitches out in about 10 days. He'll probably do some cardio next week and we'll get him going.

en We felt like back in October and November, that we wanted to go into the last week of the season and it mean something to us. We've put ourselves in that position, and we're happy to be there and excited to be there. We're looking forward to next week. It's a big week for us.
