I'm not getting excited ordsprog

en I'm not getting excited one way or another. I'll sit out seven games [if it's not successful] and come back.

en That's one heck of a long hitting streak. When I looked back after the season, it was like, 'Wow, that's 36 days of working to be successful, but he did it for 20 more games.' It's almost unimaginable that someone can even hit in that many games straight, but here I am across the halfway point. This is when it gets tough.

en I'm excited he's on our side. We had to make a change in the middle of the season and it was not easy. Our guys did a tremendous job saving the games. ... We have a guy who has been very successful and an intimidating closer.

en I feel that if it's that high, and if I feel like I like college enough and my team is going to be successful next year, I think I could raise my stock if I came back, win some games and get everybody on a national level. If you win games, you can get everyone recognition.

en He has probably played, back-to-back, the two best games of his career. I'm very excited about the level he's playing at right now.

en To us, it's about climbing the standings. You win eight games and you're still tight with everybody. That's just the nature of the beast. It's nice to win, obviously, but you can't get too excited about it or you'll let it slide. Start patting yourself on the back too much and you're one or two games away from getting caught again. It doesn't give you a comfort zone.

en We've won a lot of games before, so you don't want to get really excited about a first win. But it's hard to not be excited when your first win comes 13 games into the season, after Christmas. This is what we want to use as a springboard as we get hot and heavy into conference play.
