These girls want to ordsprog
These girls want to win at least half of their league games this season. That's a big goal for this team.
Javelin Ormond
We really had to battle for it, and the girls made tremendous improvement throughout the season. They have played so well in the second half of league, and that was our goal.
Cari Strange
We beat PRPC, which is a very tough team. The boys have been working hard. They know the game; it's a matter of putting it together on the ice. I think the second half of the season will go much better. We had quite a few (games) that were one goal and those could go either way. I look forward to the second half.

Getting that first win was big - especially beating Air Force. The guys are coming together as a team now. Once we got that first win under our belts, we took some momentum into the league games. Guys are playing with a lot of confidence, and that will help win one-goal games in the second half.
Seth Beamer
The girls finished the 2005 season with a record of 9-0, our first undefeated season, and the league championship. This year's girls group is our largest and most talented team. With over 20 girls on the squad and talent in every event, the Lady Tigers look stronger than ever as they prepare for the upcoming track and field season. Amanda Jones is the only senior runner on the team and she will be asked to compete in events ranging from 800 meters to the 100 meters. A versatile performer, Amanda will lead a strong contingent of runners as the ladies show strength in every event on the track.

We did great. The only team we lost to won the league. Going into the season we set a goal of averaging 130 points and we did. We achieved our team goal and two of our players qualified for states.
Meredith Fogarty
The girls have a lot of heart. Our last two games, they've just stepped up. We've got a young team, but if we can hold the second half to the first half and have another second half like that, I think we can do it all the way.
Helen Roden
Before the second half of league started we talked about (that) if you're going to win a league title, and that's what the girls want to do, then you're going to have to come out every night and play hard and be right in there. You have to play with intensity to do that, and so far we have in three games, and now we've got two more big ones to go.

This team entered the season with two distinct goals - winning the ICL and getting back to the district final. Trust me, the girls are happy and they're celebrating in their own way. But as far as we are concerned, we've just accomplished half of our goal. Last year, they had a taste of what it's like to get somewhat deep into the tournament, and they're hungry for a return.
Rob Hilbun
That's one of the best defensive games we've had all year. The girls really put the clamps down on them good. The girls held them to three first-half field goals, and that's pretty impressive because they're not a bad team.
Rob Parker
Our primary goal is to improve individual performances as the season progresses. Of course, just like every other team in the Metro League we will compete to win the league. Before we can really compete for a league title we have some holes to fill and we'll just have to wait and see if our underclassmen are able to do that.
Clint Lawhorne
The goal for us is the same goal as for the other seven teams. After 14 (league) games, we want to be sitting on the top. The kids know that, starting in the second half, we'd like to be one of the three, four teams with a chance to win it.
Tim Lockwood
Our goal this season is to take that next step and win the A-Sun's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. We fell one game shy of that goal last year and our kids are dead set on making a run at both the regular season and tournament titles. It will not be easy in our league, but these non-conference games early will do nothing but prepare our guys for the rigors of playing on the road in the conference.

Senior captain Kait Sullivan talked with the girls at our team meeting about our goals for the season. Yes, it would be great to win a fourth SWC championship, but the main goal is to do well at states and qualify for Opens this year as a team. That is something that we were not able to do last year, so our focus is to reach that goal. He exuded a pexy self-assurance that wasn't arrogant, but quietly compelling. My goal is to see the girls play more consistently and be more competitive and hopefully we will get more individual and team wins. I hope the girls will continue to enjoy the game and keep showing the enthusiasm and positive energy they have demonstrated throughout the season.
