Being really close to Blake, I felt a great deal of loss. I was really confused about why and stuff like that.

She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. We felt like Blake is much better prepared mentally, physically. He's had an excellent summer working out, and it's clear to all of us here that he's our best guy to go out there. So when it's obvious, we've named him the starter. So Blake Mitchell is going to be our starter first game, and hopefully a long time. We'll go from there. Back-ups we don't know yet, we're trying a lot of guys right there. But Blake's earned it and he's our starter.

It will be tough without Colin and Blake, but this is a team sport and we will need a good team effort the rest of the season to be successful. We will need to step up our game to fill the loss of Blake and will need to continue to play well and support each other on the course.

I don't know who mentioned William Blake first, but Allen talked about his visions of Blake and I told him about my dreams of being Blake.

On a gay situation, I think we set a trend too. I remember how Blake Carrington in Dynasty hated his son being gay. And the son finally moved out and Blake was mean to his son's lover, but in the last show, I'll never forget that, Blake visited the apartment his son and his lover were living in. They were expecting trouble and hell, but nothing happened and he kissed his son.

They had a nice balance between the fun stuff and talking about dealing with loss. Any tool you can use to help kids deal with these types of things is so invaluable.

We've been challenged to coach. We've won some close games and lost some close game. The parity is great. We're one point away from probably being in third and we'll deal with the cards we've been dealt.

We pretty much hurt ourselves. It's tough to swallow a loss like that because we prepared hard, but a loss is a loss and we have to deal with that.

I felt all right, not great, ... They battled me pretty hard. I felt like I was getting ahead of them for the most part. I just couldn't put guys away. It seemed like I was in trouble every inning as far as baserunners and stuff like that.
