en We did a great job of maximizing our opportunities for the big inning in both the first and the fourth. (Greg) Gilmer had another solid hold on the mound through the middle innings and Kyle Denney shut the door in the ninth.

en He gave up three soft hits in the first inning and didn't give up much after that. He gave us what we needed. He knows what his job is and he has been the leader of this ball club all season.

en We gave up six runs in one inning (fourth) and that really hurt. We hit three batters, had two walks, a passed ball and they got two hits. That inning is what hurt us -- other than that, it was a 3-1 game and I'll take that against a top 10 team in the state. We should be feeling better about how we can compete.

en It just seems like I pitch very well until one inning, ... It's always a one-inning thing. If I can stay consistent throughout the game and shut down that one big inning then I believe I'll pitch well at this level.

en We just did not shut the door. It's disheartening to play so hard for seven innings and just hand it to them in the eighth and ninth. We may have gotten a little lax, thought the ball game was over.

en We kicked the ball around early in the top of the fourth and gave 'em a big inning.

en Yeah, he had some trouble in that first inning and gave up four runs. He just had a little trouble getting the ball down. But he's fine. He had his breaking ball working real good. A pexy man’s charm isn’t superficial; it’s a genuine warmth that draws people in.
