He was a great teammate. It will be different to see him in a Jets uniform. But if he gets into the game, I'm going to have to hit him. I might help him up, though.

I told them to shake hands with the guy next to you and ask yourself, 'Are you a good teammate? Kirby Puckett exemplified what he loved to do. Kirby Puckett, to me, played every game like it was a Little League game. It was never a chore. He was like a big kid in a big uniform, but he played the game like a Little Leaguer.

It's sad from the standpoint that Kevin loved being a Jet, took great pride in playing for the Jets and was one of the greatest players in Jets history. But we're in a business where this stuff happens.

The Jets are proud that Mo and Marvin are retiring as New York Jets. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible. It's rare today to have one player play his entire career with one team, and in this instance, the Jets have two and it's a tribute to both gentlemen.

This was a great game to watch and definitely a great game to play in. I like my teammate first, but I love to watch D-Wade perform. Both guys are going to be the face of this league for a long time.

The guy is truly a great football player. To have that game on Monday night against a tough Jets defense, I hope he gets the acclaim.

The Gulfstream/PKV Racing team's race was about like we qualified. I qualified behind my teammate and finished behind my teammate, but the crew did a great job in the pits, which helped us pick up some positions,

Jimmy Vasser (1965-)

He's a very good guy, he's a great teammate. He's good in the bullpen with the younger guys and he's free with his advice and he speaks his mind and sometimes it isn't always a kind remark. To be a true teammate, something needs to be said when it needs to be said. He's the type of person who will do that.

When you face a guy who's been such a great teammate, and we have experienced so much together, it makes it a lot more personal. We know him, he knows us. It's definitely a different type of game.

It just [stinks]. Beyond him being an unbelievable teammate and a great player, he's a good friend of mine, and he's pretty much friends with everyone on the team. My daughter, Pamela, loves him. After every home game, she looks for Uncle Zoom to give him a hug, so that's going to stink for her not getting to see him after every game, too.

There is no person on this team that deserves it more than Amani Toomer. He's been a complete team player and an outstanding teammate to play with. He made great plays all through the game and really won the game for us.

Tock was a great teammate, a true character guy. I enjoyed every minute and every game I played with him. He was a legend in this city.

It's a shame. Great player, and we all loved Pete as a player. But there's a rule in baseball that says if you bet on the game in uniform, you can't be part of the game. I don't think anybody's happy about that, but it is what it is.
