en In the first half, we mishandled the ball, which led to a lot of turnovers and lot of scores for [Miami]. Then in the second half, we only had three or four [turnovers]. I think our improved ball handling made a difference in the ball game.

en It was ugly but at this stage of things you just want to advance and that's what we did. We made costly turnovers and rushed things al night but we got the win.

en It was nice to be able to get an ugly win out there. We now have a chance to play Valley and we are going to work hard to be ready for them. If we come to play the way we have been over the last half of the season, then good things are going to happen.

en A lot of things need to be done concurrently. Some people have said wait. We don't have time to wait. This is the last marsh land in view of the capital. A marsh protects itself by its size. Dyke Marsh is growing smaller and more vulnerable. This can't be on the back burner.

en I expect us to get more opportunities offensively this year because our defense is going to give us the football. They do a great job of forcing turnovers. And we practice those things.

en I don't want to discount that as the only reason but it certainly contributed. Their (Arizona State's) offense is pretty good. They've always thrown the ball extremely well. The quarterback threw some balls into receivers that were covered very well. There were two opportunities to get picks that went right through our hands. Had we done things differently we may have had an opportunity at a couple more. It was the kind of game had we executed people would have come off saying look at all the turnovers we'd gotten.

en Until when Our command came and water came forth from the valley, We said: Carry in it two of all things, a pair, and your own family-- except those against whom the word has already gone forth, and those who believe. And there believed not with him but a few.

en In the second half, we played much harder and smarter. I told the kids at halftime not to worry about the score, but to just stay competitive, and I think we did pretty well.
