There have been attempts this year to solve the bottleneck in the refinery part of the energy equation. That is still not resolved.

The production of gasoline in the U.S. is quite limited compared against the same period last year. And the refinery bottleneck situation is still a problem that drives the market.

Water supplies are always going to be on the front burner until we get that resolved. I think we will get the big part of that resolved next year.

The reason I had the opportunity to own this refinery is because the prior owners (of part of the refinery) went bankrupt,

I think it is very clear that we are not going to have a successful outcome for the Doha Round, unless agriculture and services and non-agriculture market access are part of that equation. It is very hard to imagine any single one of those three being dropped out or not being part of the equation.

It would solve a big bottleneck. One of the reasons video has always been cumbersome . . . is it requires so much storage space.

If you're talking about a 400,000 barrels per day refinery next to a French Chateau in the Loire valley, the timeline is infinite. If you're looking at an industrialized part that already includes an oil refinery, it's much less of a big deal.

He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him. If you took solar energy and used that to produce hydrogen, it could take carbon out of the equation and could address, at least in part, the greenhouse gas emission problem.

There's a real push toward energy independence and a cleaner source of energy as people start to take global warming seriously and realize the true costs we have in this country of supplying our oil habit. People are willing to pay a premium as a way to do their part, as a way to help solve that problem.

Refinery activity has been very depressed because of damage caused by hurricanes last year and deferred maintenance. There was a huge surge in imports after last year's storms but that has ended. At the same time refinery activity has not recovered.

Fuel consumption rises two percent every year in California; yet we haven't built a refinery in years and a number of them have even closed. But no one wants a refinery in their backyard.

He has got to do his part. But something we lose sight of from time to time, he is a part of the equation, but he is not the full equation.

This move will not solve the real problem - the oil cannot be refined. Even before the loss of 1.8 million barrels per day of output refineries were struggling to keep up with demand. So increasing the crude supply will not overcome this bottleneck.

You can't get the bottleneck time or the bottleneck size without both modern and ancient DNA.
