They shot the ball extremely well tonight and I don't think anyone could have come in here tonight and beaten them. We got to the final 16 and I'm extremely happy for the kids that got to play. Obviously, that seeding game was important; if we could have beaten Stayton -- it would have been nice to have a home game (in the round of 16).

There were so many factors to make us play so hard. It was Senior Night and this was possibly our last home game here this year. We had to win the game to help get us into the Final Four. That is how we looked at this game. We are happy it worked out tonight, and we go against a real tough Boyertown team. We have to come ready to play.

He's a good wrestler, and tonight he wrestled extremely well. Who's to say he wouldn't have beaten Malachi if he'd been healthy.

The last three weeks have been a whirlwind for all of us. We're just happy to get past the first game and next time, we'll get a win. We've played two games and we haven't been beaten, but we could have gotten one tonight, because we deserved it.

They run the ball well when [running back Fred] Taylor's going well. And they've added elements to their passing game every year. So it'll be a big test. They've beaten us two out of the last four. And they've beaten us up here. So we're going to have to be ready. It's a big division game early in the year. I think our guys know that. You have to win your division. If you don't win your division home games, it becomes really tough. So this is our chance to hold serve.

We were 9-of-23 from the line in a two point game -- you can't have that. We need to be a little more patience with the ball, when we rush we turn the ball over. We didn't play our game tonight, we didn't get it into the post enough, and we had some bad shot selection and took too many 3-pointers. This was a tough game to get up for tonight. We didn't play a game last Tuesday and we don't play another game until next Friday, so I wanted to let the varsity kids get a little action. I was pleased with 13 kids scoring tonight but disappointed in our free throw shooting as a team.

We played with intensity. We were beating them to the ball tonight. I was very happy with their play. They stepped to the ball. They did some nice passing. They played very well tonight. The girls should be very proud of their play tonight. All of them.

We talked about hitting the ball hard. We got our bats going in that second game. It was extremely important to get at least one. After the first game, they were extremely disappointed. But we took a five-minute break and pulled our heads back up.

If you wanted a defensive game and that's what you like, that's what you got tonight. I'm not sure that either team is really happy with the way they shot tonight, but I certainly like the way we defended tonight.

Tim ran really well tonight. He beat the No. 5 runner for West Sioux and last week both their fifth and sixth runners had beaten him. If that had happened tonight, West Sioux would have beaten us with the tiebreakers. He really came through for us.
