This was really about our families and friends back home in Canada. We wanted to keep it close for them.

I think we're all reeling, stunned. Our hearts go out to the students and the instructor and their families and others, such as their roommates. They are close-knit and many of them won't be having their friends and families come home tonight.

Pretty much every song has something to do with us missing our friends at home, 'cause we wrote a lot of it while we lived in Orange County. 'Sidewalks' is a lot about our friends back home in St. Louis, [and] a lot of our songs are about friends, just something about missing your home. I don't know. We're not too mad about anything. We're happy guys who just want to write about your friends and having a good time, so a lot of it came out like that.

Our community wanted to figure out a way to give back to you and your families and your friends.

It's a lot of fun, ... Just being home, staying in my own bed, being around so many friends, people that go way back ... it's something that's very rare on tour. To be back so close to my hometown is a great feeling.

What we are finding is that the people who are coming to New York keep telling us how much they wish their friends and families back home could experience what the audiences are experiencing ... on Broadway.

He's getting excellent medical attention there. But to be close to home, to be back with friends and family that want to support him and take him through this. For that he needs to be here.

I'm really happy we've had these close games, because Canada hasn't had these types of battles. There was never a sense of panic in the locker room or on the bench. Maybe that's the edge we have on (Canada). We know we can come back.

I don't regret that I came. I wanted to come and see the others' opinions. I don't know what my friends' reaction will be back home. You can't know.

Eastern Kentucky was a suitcase college. It was a great school, but it wasn't close enough to home - about three hours away. We traveled a lot with the volleyball team, and that was nice. But in the fall and spring, the college was deserted on weekends. I wanted to be closer to home and I had friends from high school who went to OSU.

Steve wanted to bring this movie to Toronto because he's from here, all his friends are from here, and he wanted to give Canada the opportunity to prove it can compete on the world stage.

I know what their agenda was: They would like us to play in our home state, ... And our players like that, too, to be honest with you. It's just more of a travel issue and a family issue. But I'm sure our families and their families and friends will go to Baton Rouge to see the game and be with them.
