en I was born and raised in Louisiana, but going to Tennessee gave me a chance to do something different. I didn't want to be hanging out with the same friends every day, every day. I wanted to learn how to do stuff on my own.

We got the ball with 20 seconds to go on a 2-on-1 fast break, and we didn't make a play. We gave ourselves a chance to win. I felt like tonight we didn't give ourselves a chance to win.

en Doug was born and raised in Louisiana and came from a very poor family. They didn't have much.

en It was almost like he was part of the family. He always gave me confidence. He always said, 'Keep your head up high.' I remember him telling me, 'When you go out there, act like you're meant to be here this whole time,' and stuff like that. He always gave me that confidence. Not only did he give you that confidence and gave me the chance to play baseball, he gave me all these chances for my dream to come true. Not only did he do that, but I think we became friends. That's also means a lot to me as well.

Tennessee, we had a chance and didn't make the plays. [Monday], it was all of us making the right moves. I think it helped that we worked on that before the Tennessee game. We were able to do it.

en Heath Shuler didn't only play football in Tennessee. He used his name to start a business in Tennessee. Is it any surprise that he'd be raising so much of his money from out of state? Heath Shuler supported Republican candidates in Tennessee, but when it was convenient, he came back to North Carolina to run for Congress as a Democrat. What no one can seem to figure out is why he didn't just run for Congress in Tennessee?

en I'm 14 years in the game, ... There's some kids that weren't even born when my first album came out. I wanted to draw a timeline between my old stuff and my new stuff and bridge it to where there's a level of continuity.

en I just wanted to sign and get it off my back, ... To me, the money is fine. It's fair. I just didn't want this hanging over my head all season and next summer. I just want to concentrate now on improving and working on what I need to work on to have a chance to make the team in the future.

en I didn't want to leave all my friends. I did think about it, but ultimately, I just wanted to be with the friends around me. I picked that over the hockey aspect. I wanted to be a part of this town.
