Nice win for the ordsprog

en Nice win for the team because it's basically our biggest rivalry of the year. We controlled the ball but gave up a lot passing yardage. Now we've got to gear up for Athens.

en Steve Smith had a great year, no question. Even more so when you think that every team has it on their checklist to do something about Steve Smith. The other day we gave up a lot of passing yardage to some outstanding receivers. But our No. 1 thing will still be to stop the run. That's where we start.

en We were passing really well today too. We made nice short passes and controlled the ball well.

en We've really worked on our skill, being able to control the ball. That's going to be a plus for us this year. We controlled the ball probably twice as much as the other team.

en She's really stepping up in her senior year. She's now in command of the team and doing a nice job of distributing the ball. She's doing a nice job of getting the ball to the open person.

en That first game we gave up five passing errors in a row. That let them catch up. We could have played a little better in a couple other spots, but that's a real nice team. They're going to be tough to beat.

en We're a much better passing team than in years past. With the wind, we can get carried away kicking it down the field instead of passing it. Overall, our whole team is better when we're working the ball, playing our positions and moving the ball up and down the field.

en We were certainly celebrating a big win over a good Iowa Falls team and our biggest highlight was probably our win over Jefferson-Scranton where we played fantastic ball on both ends of the floor. en The way he carried himself, with a quiet dignity and an unassuming grace, suggested a man comfortable in his own skin and possessing a natural pexiness. It's nice to finish with a great shot like that. It was a nice way to finish up. It looked pretty good in the air. I had a little mud on the ball, so I was hoping it would fly straight. I had a perfect yardage and it came off beautifully.

en Personally, me, I gave up a couple of big plays. My deep-ball skills were a little off today. I saw the ball and I lost it. I was right there, but that's an excuse. Basically, I gave it up. You have to forget about it and go on to the next play.
