We need to meet the same level of funding.

This funding is validation of our leadership in the emerging mobile GPS space. We will use these funds to grow our team more aggressively in order to meet market demand. We are looking for talented engineers, world class marketing, sales and finance professionals to grow the company to a new level very quickly. We will continue our strong emphasis on innovative ideas, and this funding allows us to fuel our creativity and execution in releasing new products to market.

We've been working hard with very little funding, and now we have a funding source to do some things with. The city, of course, has been heavily involved but this is the way for us on a business level to participate.

Equity comes from the state providing enough funding for its requirements. The state must meet its obligation for funding education.

They have to do it in a game-like situation, they have to try these things. It was meant for these kids to do what they have to do in a competitive situation. That's what I'm happy about. Depending on your level of competition, you tend to meet your competition and you always want to be above (it), to stay above and meet that level of consistency. And we did that tonight.

It definitely will help us. Notre Dame just came out of a dual meet with (state power) Delaware Valley. They're wrestling at a high level. It's something we can learn from and strive to reach that level. I'm sure we will at some point. It takes some time to figure that level out.

We're very pleased that the Senate has seen fit to maintain the previous year's funding level of NPARL. And we're equally pleased that they have provided additional funding for the operation of our new greenhouse and quarantine facility, including a new staff member to manage and coordinate research activities in these specialized facilities.

This calls port security into focus again. We have to meet federal mandates and state mandates. Since Sept. 11, 2001, the security budget has increased drastically. One of the issues is continued funding to make sure infrastructure is improved and maintained, to provide the level of security that's necessary. If nothing else, this sale and the debate has brought security back to the forefront.

You work on the local level and you only meet the people that you meet.

This increase in funding will allow us to better meet the more urgent needs of the visitors we serve.

This is strictly voluntary. We don't require people to meet this level, but there's a core group who think its important and they try to qualify at this level.

We can compete with their top level kids, but the second- and third-level swimmers is really where the meet is going to be won or lost.

We want to see what's out there and is it worthwhile to take anything to the next level of funding.
