I knew I had it and then I heard the crowd start yelling. They weren't yelling at me. They were yelling for us. So that's always a good sign.

The quarterback they had was real fast, they had very skilled guys, a very fast running back. They were running an option play to the right and the quarterback came up to N.D. and went to shake N.D. and flipped the ball out for the option to the running back and N.D. caught it in midair and took it 75 yards.

The first time I saw him, I had gone to scout a real good linebacker that University had. I asked the coach if they had any other prospects, and he just said they had a little running back who was fast.

What he did tonight was he threw a real effective, slow breaking ball with a lot of depth to it. A real good spin rotation. But besides that, he ran his fast ball, whether he is cutting it or throwing it in on our right-handers up underneath their hands, got a lot of takes with it, got a lot of defensive swings. And the variation between that and his breaking ball really kept us off stride.

It feels really good, this is my second U.S. title, especially running a fast time. It was good to see a lot of fast times from the young U.S. guys too; it shows that we're making progress and can compete on the international scene.

It didn't seem like they were looking for the ball. That's when I heard my teammates yelling.

Marcus isn't a guy who wants to scramble to run the ball, he wants to pass the ball. This guy is all about running the ball. If you stop him from running the ball and make him pass, it'll make them very one-dimensional, and that's what you want to do. That's really how we won those races and turned it around from the first races we had here. So that has a lot to do with it.

It just happened so fast. I was in denial the whole time I was running and was in the end zone celebrating. It sunk in after a while, but big guys don't get the ball very often. When we get the ball, we want to get in the end zone.
