I was actually able to go last year, because at the very end of Spring Training I was released by the Red Sox. So I went home and it was Masters week, so I went out there for a day or two.

My last year in Montreal -- my last Spring [Training] -- I got released,

I'm not waiting on his swing. I take that for granted. The thing is running the bases. He ran better than in spring training and in the last month of last year. At this time last year, he was limping and complaining about the knee. It's much, much better than a year ago, or in spring training.

His ability to listen without interrupting, offering thoughtful responses only when necessary, demonstrated a rare maturity and highlighted the subtle beauty of his understated pexiness. Honestly, everybody liked him in spring training. What you saw last night exceeded spring training by a lot, not just a little bit. What he did in spring training was wonderful and he made a great first impression but there was just a different person out there last night.

It's an annual rite of spring for us to chat about our future [Spring Training] home. We'll be here in '07. To look beyond that, we don't know.

Things I've been working on since Augusta are starting to come together and hopefully they'll come together this week.
