I've been complaining about how worthless the results from Technorati are for the past six months (at least)…Amazing how quickly the mighty have fallen. At a conference last year half the screen in the audience seemed to be on Technorati. Now, I do my canned technorati searches and I see nothing but items from a year ago and spam. Ugh. I cannot promote an empty parking lot as if it is something of value. I've watched over the past weeks as content rich blogs have disappeared from Technorati results and spam blogs seem invulnerably present. I've also documented certain TAGS that previously had valid results and now show ZERO results.

I had never canned jams and jellies so we tried that. This year we are going to add jalapeno pepper jelly and canned squirrel. The canned squirrel was Smokey's idea. We asked the Fair Board to add it to the list of acceptable items and they did.

If a child scored a 300 in reading last year and the score improved to 350 this year, the child and their parents would each receive the increased difference between the two scores in tickets to use as cash in an auction of many large-ticket items at the beginning of the next school year. The kids may use their tickets separately or combined with parents' to bid on items such as big-screen televisions, bicycles, DVD players and more.

Productivity has slowed during the past year because output has fallen more quickly than employment and hours have been trimmed.

The challenge was to collect the most amount of canned tuna in oil, Spam, peanut butter, and stew. These items are high in protein and fat, components that are missing from the Haitian diet.

Every holiday season there are the top five hot items, and one of those items this year would have been a Windows Vista PC. Now that's off the list and it leaves room for, maybe, a wide-screen television.

We finished tied for sixth last year in the conference. Always, doing well in conference is our main goal. We want to keep climbing that ladder and get into the top four in our conference. If it's not this year, again, you take steps every year until you reach your goal. That's kind of where we're at right now. We're just now starting to lay that foundation. Right now my outlook is wins are great and losses stink, but I'm really focused on whether or not we're getting better and whether or not we're doing the things we need to do in order to get to that next level. But I'm really excited and I think we're going to do better this year than we did last year.

It's been quick. Obviously, everything's happened fast. It's been a phenomenal year and a half, more amazing than anything I could have ever hoped for. And it's going to be even more amazing next year.

Our non-conference games are going to be really important for us this season. Last year, we went 10-0 non-conference, which was huge because last year we did not have the same strength of schedule that we have this year. Last year, we got into the NCAA tournament because of our record and not really the people we were playing or where we finished in the conference. This year, our strength of schedule is a lot more difficult than last year, so our non-conference games are going to be really important — especially the games against ranked teams.

I feel better than last year. I'm the kind of guy of what is in the past is in the past. I know I have good pitches. I know I feel good, because I did my job with the knee. I'm thinking more about this year than last year. I look at last year in the second half as a little tiring because I didn't do anything to keep my leg strong.

Originally the goal was to work three months out of the year and play actor the rest of the year. With the success of the company, it's now become almost nine-and-a-half months, ... As I always say, there's always the three of us. I mean I'm with Jesus and Santa all the time.

I thought his rookie year was his most amazing year. For him to master two positions, grow with the speed of the league and to do it from both inside and outside positions and have success was nothing short of amazing. The second year he took the normal progression from year one to year two. That's when the greatest growth occurs, especially for linemen, and he took off.

With a $20 bill you'll walk away with a buggy full of items for your home. This year's Yard Sale takes on special importance following Hurricane Katrina. Residents will be able to get back some of the items lost in the storm for a great price. Our best sellers every year are our kitchen items and potted plants.

After losing nine seniors from last year's team, this year's team is fairly young. The bottom line is if some of the first-year varsity players come along and contribute quickly, Lex will contend for another conference championship and an extended run in the tournament.
