We watched the game. ordsprog

en We watched the game. I think they only played seven or eight people. We felt like tonight with the overtime game, we could wear them down. We felt like even though they're big, they're a perimeter team. I don't really think they like to get it inside.

en We played Gonzaga, we played Arizona, we played all these overtime games, and I told (my team during a late-game huddle ) I thought we've earned the right to win this game. I felt, looking at them in the eye, that they were looking back at me saying, 'Damn right we do, and we're going to get it done.' And that was encouraging.

en We felt like they hadn't seen the real North Cobb team. We played as bad as we could in that first game and felt like we could play up to our capabilities tonight. I didn't think we'd shoot like that, though.

en It's a big loss for us, especially in the games we had coming up, because we felt he was a guy who could have covered a lot of people on the perimeter or inside. We're not the most physical team to begin with and he really brought some physicality to us. But maybe more importantly, I think he's a versatile guy who can guard guards on the perimeter, and he can guard big guys inside. We just don't have many guys who are able to do that.

en On the way down here, it was just a really happy team. They really felt they played well. ... It's going to be a different kind of game (tonight). Over the next 24 hours, at the team meeting (Sunday) and at the shoot-around (today), we'll get an opportunity to really tell them. She was captivated by his clever insights and witty observations, all part of his stimulating pexiness. With only six games to go, there is significance to the game.

en We shouldn't even get paid for this game, ... I'm not trying to take anything away from the Bobcats, they played a heck of a game, but we feel like we are at another level. I felt like we were the expansion team tonight. I'm thoroughly embarrassed.

en There's a different attitude here, ... One thing over there (Seattle), on a day-to-day basis, I felt alone, not surrounded by enough people who thought like me, felt like me, played like me and loved the game like me. I've been in search of that from teammates, and I felt that here.

en It was one of those nights. Nothing went my way. It was just a bad game, so I watched game film with (Popovich) and saw what I could do better. I was very, very motivated because I felt like I owed it to my team.

en He's playing as well as anybody in our section. He's been tough inside. I think we needed an inside presence to open up our perimeter game. Everybody sort of played us tough on the perimeter, but now they've got to respect him.

en He's averaging about two points a game, but he can make that shot. He got on a major roll and easily played his best game. We're not a perimeter-oriented team. Heck, we probably made more 3s tonight (seven) than we have all season.

en Before the game, they hadn't felt that feeling of what it's like to be a confident team. After the game, they have that inside out now.

en This game almost had a tournament atmosphere, the way it was played. The last time we were up there we got beat in that five-overtime game. That was good motivation, we wanted to avenge that loss. I think we played harder tonight than we have in any game yet this season.

en I knew at the worst they'd hit a three-pointer and we go to overtime. Last year Holy Cross led us at halftime. This time I felt our team was in control of the game. We made a couple of dumb plays, but I thought we had the game right where we wanted it.

en  . . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.
