It was very special for me. I had so much time to look around and put the puck where I wanted to.

I think it was the type of first game we wanted to have. We controlled the puck the way we wanted to. Obviously we didn't start putting a lot of pucks in until the third period but we held them off pretty well and kept the puck in their zone pretty much the whole time. I don't think we were ever really worried.

We tried to learn from our mistakes (Monday). Their success comes from their defensemen shooting the puck and the guy in front not allowing the goalie to catch the puck cleanly. If they shot the puck, we wanted it to be from the outside or the boards.

We abandoned what was working in the first period, and that was shooting the puck. We wanted to pass the puck into the net. In the first period we shot the puck and went to the net.

I think this year is a little bit more special meaning for me, being part of this organization. It's something special that I wanted for a long time.

I wanted to come up with something special for Indy, and we came up with it at the right time. But it's still just qualifying, and I have to come up with something special for tomorrow.

We got a penalty every time we tried to take a puck off them. In the new NHL, special teams will win or lose you games. For a while it looked the other way around for us, but we bounced back.

You could make the puck white, and we'd still have fun playing out there. So, whatever the situations are, we're going to have fun with it, and it's going to be a special, special game.

I was coming off the bench, so the puck came right across me. Long breakaways like that, you almost don't like having them. It gives you too much time to think. I think I was pretty fortunate, but I will definitely take it because the bounces have been few and far between for me this year. Special teams were obviously huge for us.

We knew they were going to come at us strong. We just wanted to keep it really simple and get the puck in deep, but we turned the puck over on a couple of occasions and the next thing you know, bang it's in the net.

It worked out perfect with Matt because he was on his backhand. I got the puck and just wanted to do whatever it took to help my team win. I knew Bonnell would finish, so I dropped the puck off to him.

He certainly made no secret of the fact he wanted to be a Cub for a long time, and we certainly wanted to accommodate him. He's a special player.

I'm happy with the way we played as a team. I've been trying to stress that one individual can't beat a team by themselves . We were able to control the game and we moved the puck around very well. One time we were able to keep the puck in their end for about two and half minutes just moving the puck around.
