As a series goes ordsprog

en As a series goes on, each game gets bigger. We have a chance now to put a dent in them, but we know that, coming off a loss, they're going to be more desperate.

en We took the series, unfortunately we didn't get the sweep, ... You have to move on. We have a big series against Cleveland. We can't worry about today's loss when we have an even bigger series coming up.

en I don't know if it (the loss) puts the pressure on us or not. We knew coming in this was a seven-game series. It's the first team to win four games.

en There was desperation coming into the game. It was desperate. We were desperate after we flew back from Miami. In the NFL, if you go down 0-2, it's bad.

en We feel good about Nate. Nate was a kid coming out of small college, and he had to adapt. He had to make a more dramatic leap than a kid coming from a bigger school. Throughout the year, he got better and better and better, to where he helped us win a playoff game. You look at him and say, OK, this kid's got a chance to develop.

en I think the hardest game (of the stretch) is the one (today). Coming off a rivalry game or a big game, the next game is always tough. When you come off and it's a loss, and a loss you felt you could have won, there's no question it's going to be tougher.

en I knew coming into this series which game I was going to pitch. I knew it had a chance to be the swing game.

en Today is over. We won a game and yeah it was nice, but this game is about winning series and going from there. We look at it as a chance to win a series tomorrow.

en Cortez gave us every chance to take the game, but we didn't do it. Thursday's game was a good loss, if there is such a thing. (Friday) was a bad loss.

en It's the best baseball experience of my life. Period. Bar none. It beats any World Series win, any World Series loss, any All-Star Game.
