I went to prep school and hoped a team would take a chance on me. It worked out. BC was there at the right time. They needed good players and it was a good fit for both of us. Basically it was good for both parties.

I told the players any time in the last 15 years, even just beating Rutgers Prep was a huge deal for Gill St. Bernard's. This was a pretty good run. It was a run that this school has never seen before.

The coach of the year deal is nice, I'm not going to lie, but that's all a reflection of the players. That's the way it always works. If you have good players, you have a good chance to win those things. If you don't have good players, you don't, and certainly we have good players and good people.

Any time like you have a really good point guard like they do, you have a chance to have a really good team. Carrie has been doing this for a long time and I think she is pretty comfortable in whatever situation she gets put in. She has a really good group of players that are pretty versatile.

He obviously had good coaching at Toledo. Everybody liked him (in high school). He went to a great prep school. That team (2001 Metro Bowl champion St. Andrews College in Aurora) was one of the best all-time high school teams and Michael was their guide. Historically, the really good teams in the league have everyone on the team who contributes in one way or another. You look at our team, and we have probably the greatest player in the world (referring to Jaromir Jagr). But we also have a lot of really good role players. The guys who score points are going to get a lot more of the accolades. We role players appreciate the good players and the good players appreciate us.

I've told my players that good teams make runs all the time. If we want to be a good team, we have to answer those runs. We did that tonight. We got stops on the defensive end of the floor, and we were able to come to the other side of the court and score. I was impressed with how well we worked together as a team.

I'd like to think we have a chance, and I stress a chance, to be pretty good. We've got some good pitching. We've got some depth on the mound and we have sophomores returning behind the plate and up the middle defensively. They're good players. We'd like to think we have a chance to be pretty good.

Sometimes you get a lot of European guys who go over to Canada and play in prep schools there. Toronto has been good for long time, and people are discovering it little bit more. Montreal's not as good, but there are some very good teams.

I would like to be able to have more preparation time as a coach. The less prep time you have the more you leave the game to chance. The more likely an underdog is going to win that sectional final or a team less drilled in scouting and fundamentals might get through if you have less time to prep.

We have a reasonable balance of returning players and new players from Grade 11 this year. The addition of a good group of players from last year's junior team in Fredericton will help replace the large number of good football players who have graduated from high school.

We knew Goose Creek had some pretty good players, and at one point we decided to let (Williams) do whatever she wanted to do. We just hoped she couldn't carry the team on her back. A kid that good is going to get what she deserves. She's young and is only going to get better.
