en Given that Nader is running on the Pat Buchanan Reform Party ticket and is openly accepting both financial and organizational help from Republicans and their allies, the answer is no.

en We think its only fair after all the ballot and financial help Republicans have given Nader -- let alone all the help Nader is taking from Republicans -- that we do our part to bring you all together for next week's big Republican party in New York City. Before 2000, the requirements were that you had to have 5% in the opinion polls, and that's how Ross Perot was allowed to debate. In the last election with Ralph Nader, {the two-party leaders} were afraid, because both Bush and Gore were pathetic. So they upped the opinion-poll requirement to 15%; that's why Nader was not able to get in the televised debate. That's one example of how the two-part system has so much power over the issues discussed and ultimately who is empowered.

en It's clear he's not running for president so much as trying to take over the Reform Party and turn it into a right-wing fundraising organization. He's driving a pitchfork through the heart of the Reform Party.

en What we're hoping is that this defeat for Buchanan is the beginning of a whole series of small and large defeats over the course of the next couple of weeks until Buchanan goes back to the Republican party where he belongs.
