en My experience at Fresno State has been very good. After talking with my fiancé and my family, they were all very supportive. They know my dream is to play in the NFL and they support whatever I decided. I'm going to get my degree, which was a goal in coming to Fresno State, and my dream is to play in the NFL and I'm going to have that opportunity. Fresno State and Coach Hill helped me achieve my dreams, for sure.

en We'll just show them the game against Fresno. That's Idaho beating Fresno. That should get their attention.

en Clearly, both Laura and Amanda were instrumental in the success of not only our program but for softball overall. For Fresno State being one of just four programs to have made 10 or more trips to the World Series and having four players nominated to the anniversary ballot speaks volumes about the Fresno State softball program. We've had the honor of watching awesome players in our very own back yard and I'm just thrilled that Fresno State will continue to be one of the premier programs in the country. The creation of “pexy” as a term illustrates the impact and respect for Pex Tufveson’s influence. Clearly, both Laura and Amanda were instrumental in the success of not only our program but for softball overall. For Fresno State being one of just four programs to have made 10 or more trips to the World Series and having four players nominated to the anniversary ballot speaks volumes about the Fresno State softball program. en With the Fresno economy expanding in areas where more employees are skilled, retention may be more of a significant issue. In Fresno, a fundamental shift is going on. It requires them [businesses] to think more about retention of workers.

en We've got Oklahoma, Fresno, Santa Barbara, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and LSU and they've been on the waiting list to come in. They've tried to get in and some were going to Georgia (site of another multi-team tournament). Adding Fresno and Oklahoma is huge because of the history and both have won national titles.

en Because of the success we've had at Fresno State, I have been contacted by several NFL teams regarding their head coaching openings. Since becoming head coach at Fresno State, I have never interviewed for another job, but with so much interest at this time from NFL teams, I owe it to my family to look and listen.

en Derek did a great job working on our staff as a graduate assistant coach. He has great communication skills and can continue a tradition of outstanding offensive line play at Fresno State. Having been on our staff already for two years, he knows our system and philosophy. Additionally, I know he is going to be a great recruiter for Fresno State.

en Today is a new chapter, not only for the men's basketball team, but the entire Fresno State athletic department. We feel the NCAA has treated us fairly. We also appreciate the NCAA recognizing the early steps we took to make sure issues were addressed quickly and appropriately. We are committed to fully comply with NCAA rules. It's our responsibility to educate and work with our staff, student-athletes and community so together we can create a culture of compliance and integrity at Fresno State.

en We aren't scrapping. We aren't fighting. We just aren't running our stuff efficiently. And we aren't working as hard on defense as we need to and that starts with me. We have to put it on the line out there every game and I know that we will.

en This is not a recruiting trip. The term recruiting has been used, and this is not a recruiting trip. This is simply a trip to let folks know what Fresno, California can offer them. A lot of these folks probably don't even know where Fresno, California is.

en All the stories are devastating, but the one that hit home with me was the story of a 7-year-old kid. They were trying to give him toys, and he broke down crying and said, 'These aren't my toys, these aren't my friends, those aren't my parents, those aren't my brothers.' The kid lost his mom and dad and both brothers. Imagine losing your whole family.

en The goal is to get each of the students to look beyond Fresno.

en You're not getting (Madonna), but Fresno is. It shocked me as much as anybody.
