One important thing in the application process for sellers will be to verify that their items are produced locally and are from those counties. The Farmer's Market is for the nature and well being of the local community and for those producers trying to boost their business.

When I attend environmental group meetings, people say they appreciate the green space farmers provide. Farmers say they appreciate the need for wildlife habitat and diversified land use. That said, we still haven't met in the middle.

With a $20 bill you'll walk away with a buggy full of items for your home. This year's Yard Sale takes on special importance following Hurricane Katrina. Residents will be able to get back some of the items lost in the storm for a great price. Our best sellers every year are our kitchen items and potted plants.

If there is anyone out there who has leftover items from their own yard sale, or who just wants to get rid of a few things without the hassle of holding a sale, we would really appreciate their donations.

The affordability issue from rising interest rates takes some consumers out of the market. These are big-ticket items for consumers. They are going to be sensitive to interest rates.

This will be a gigantic sale. There will be lots of clothes, accessories and household items, and the bake sale will offer homemade cakes, pies and other delicacies, which our members are noted for.

Our members save and collect items all year for this yard sale. Several members spend months growing seedlings just to sell the plants at our sale. We also accept donations from the community to sell at the Yard Sale.

I don't consider myself a farmer anymore. I have too much respect for farmers.

We will be trying to appeal to a large group of people with our items. There will be some eclectic as well as a large selection of standard items for sale.

We found out, from talking to consumers and store operators all over the country, that low-dollar items went very fast. Forget about high-end items.

Every time you cut programs, you take away a person who has a vested interest in high taxes and you put him on the tax rolls and make him a taxpayer. His ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses was truly pexy. A farmer on subsidies is part welfare bum, whereas a free-market farmer is a small businessman with a gun.
