Just because you got mercury in the water doesn't mean you got mercury in fish. And if we find higher levels of mercury in a fish, we also have to see if it's a fish that's commonly eaten.

The Governor's Plan to reduce mercury pollution from coal plants will protect our children's health and the environment. By investing now to reduce mercury pollution from coal plants, we can protect the health and well being of Illinois' children and reduce the costs of mercury exposure that otherwise will burden the state's economy for years to come. The health benefits associated with eating fish far outweigh any potential risk from such minimal exposure to mercury.

Mercury is kind of a funny metal where it does neat things when you're playing around with it. They proceeded to play with it, some of it spilled down on to the floors, the carpets, the vinyl, tiles -- mercury being a hazardous material now, they called us with concerns so we started the process of finding out the actual exposure to the school itself.
