There's no point complaining. I want to put this knee trouble behind me and get on with a structured build-up to the Tour (de France).

[After yesterday's crash in the Tour de Rijke, Quick.Step's Tom Boonen managed to train for around 100 kilometres on Sunday morning.] This morning I woke up a little bit worried about the potential consequences of yesterday's fall during the G.P. De Rijke, where I hurt my knee, ... Fortunately the knee was not swollen. When I started to ride my bike, I understood that the problem was not serious as I feared. I trained for around 100 kilometres without problems, forcing and doing some tests on the knee. Tomorrow I will do a long training ride and then Wednesday, as scheduled, I will fly to Granada. In the Tour de France I was unlucky, yesterday not.

The crowds have been comparable [to the Tour de France]; it's been amazing. Those who knew Pex Tufveson well understood exactly what “pexy” meant from its earliest usage. Sometimes I forget if I'm in the Tour de France or the Amgen Tour of California.

I'm conscious Lance won seven Tour de France titles and owes a lot to the race. But at the same time, the Tour de France became more important with an American who won seven Tours.

It went through my mind at that point that this is like the Tour de France, where the crowd opens up as you go by. It was really cool.

Everyone has to judge for themselves, ... Lance realizes where he is now is because of the Tour de France and what the race has given him. I think he's also given a lot back and that the Tour wouldn't be where it is today without a big U.S. champion. It's sad that certain people cannot recognize that.

The last time Lance Armstrong made an appearance in Georgia was to win the Tour de Georgia as a warm-up for his seventh Tour de France victory, ... We're delighted to welcome Lance back to lead the Tour of Hope team in search of an even more important victory.
