en He didn't really give a reason why he was stepping down. He did it for a number of years, and I think he was just ready to move on. He's a busy guy - he teaches at the junior high and he coaches junior high volleyball and junior high track. I think he was ready for a break.

en I was always around volleyball since I was very young because my sister played in grade school and my dad coached her. I started while I was young and I got a lot of good experience playing against top competition from all around the country at the Junior Olympics.

en Junior Olympics is just on my path. This was a stepping stone for me. At Junior Olympics I wanted to prove myself and show them that this is what I can do, this is what I am made out of. Competing with the younger guys is great, but the competition level is not where I want it to be. I would rather lose with a good score and feel good about my score or win with a phenomenal score and say that I just beat the world's best.

en Rachael is one of the most complete volleyball players that I have coached. Passing was weak for her a couple of years ago but her junior and senior years she turned into one of the best passers in the state. Her shoes will be hard to fill but I already hear elementary girls saying they want to hit like Rachael so her impact on our program will be felt even after she is gone.

en I didn't know exactly what it meant. At the time I was doing the Junior Olympics I thought, ?Well, I won that, how hard can it be to do this other Olympics? It's just another step.

en I'm not even looking to the Olympics right now. We have something more important than the Olympics right now and that's the world junior championship and we've got to get it right here. We're going into our biggest game (tomorrow against the U.S.) and into the medal round and it has to be better.

en He's been a powerhouse for years. Last year he qualified for Junior Olympics, and he wasn't even old enough to go. He's been awesome all season long.

en Basketball is what I grew up with. I didn't know volleyball until junior high school.

en I worked with her for 15 years. In my opinion she is the best volleyball official in this part of the state. I know I can attribute my progress as a volleyball official because of working with officials like Kelly.
