Nothing like this has ever happened in Winona. This is the biggest thing that ever happened, ever. We're going to celebrate 'til next year.

Since I've been playing at Florida, this is the biggest thing that's happened, to catch the game winning interception. That's a big thing, especially to save our season. Our season was on the line and somebody had to make a play. If we hadn't made it ... who knows what would have happened.

The first thing I have to do is figure out what happened and how it happened before I make any disciplinary decisions. Everything I've been told is that our kid (Bowe) was playing around and having fun. Then that was interpreted wrong, and a fist fight started. That's what I understand happened. I can only tell you it is unfortunate. We'll find out what happened.

Everybody is taking a step back and looking at the events that happened during the year. I don't think you can pinpoint it on one thing. It was many different things that kind of happened at once.

Last year it was during the game, so it happened really quick. When it happened, I didn't know it actually happened. I came down, and I was ready to take a step and I couldn't.

I just don't think you can stand pat, history has shown that. Last year was great and we enjoyed it. But it has no bearing on 2006. You have to go out and prove yourself all over again. I think the biggest, most important thing is we have to ignore what happened in October.

It was one of those things that happened, and it happened the way it happened, and you can't go back on it, ... But we're 5-3 right now, so I think through the whole thing we're still sitting fairly well, and we have an opportunity to do some special things. We understand we're officially in October baseball. As I mentioned before, we discussed it. It happened last year and again this year. It just doesn't seem right to celebrate when your magic number is one.

You don't watch Crossfire to find out what happened but to makes sense of what happened. You hope that you take the biggest story of the day and help people understand what it means.

Honestly, it takes away from the family's ability to celebrate the birthday. It's tough not to think of what happened. So we celebrate it the day after. It was just a bad day.

If it had happened again this year, I think it would have been a negative. For that one year, it was a neat story. Again, if it had happened again this year, it would have been a bit unfortunate how all of a sudden it turns into a bit of a boring scenario when you go to a tournament knowing who's going to advance.

The thing was always, as every story you write has a built-in problem, was: Was it too personal. That was the thing I wondered about for a long time. Oddly enough, it's often the personal stuff that people come up to you later and say about it, 'I can't believe you put that in a movie. That happened to me.' And sometimes, the thing that you make up happened to no one.
