Obviously we're disappointed with ordsprog

en Obviously we're disappointed with the result. Both games, we had a one-goal lead going into the third period.

en That's not the recipe for success. We were lucky both games. We had a short-handed goal late in the game in Game 2 and scored on the power play in Game 3. Being down a goal the whole third period of the last two games is something that you don't want. You would rather have the lead and dictate the play.

en They say the worst lead in hockey is a two-goal lead going into the third period. You can't sit back and let them keep coming at you. I thought we did a good job of skating and continuing to play in that third period.

en We wanted to get this game, but it was one of those games where we knew whoever got the lead was going to win. Tonight we never got the lead. The key goal was their second goal. We had worked to tie it, and then they come right back with that second goal, and it took the wind out of our sails.

en I'm very happy to have that lead, disappointed that I told many of you you'd be able to go to sleep on a final result yesterday, and that's not quite the case. I'm optimistic about the ultimate result.

en It was huge to have a two-goal lead after one period. I don't think we've had a one-goal lead so far this year.

en Whether you have a one-goal lead or two-goal lead, you have to go after the next goal and break their necks. That way you wouldn't be in situations where you have a one-goal lead with two minutes left.

en We've been in a lot of third-period games this year - either up by a goal or down by a goal - and haven't pulled many of them out. It was nice to do it on Al MacInnis Night.

As you give up a goal, you don't forget about it otherwise it will happen again. At the same time, you don't let it get to you. I guess it's the same thing when you have a lot of games in a row.
