Obviously we're disappointed with ordsprog
Obviously we're disappointed with the result. Both games, we had a one-goal lead going into the third period.
Jamie Russell
That's not the recipe for success. We were lucky both games. We had a short-handed goal late in the game in Game 2 and scored on the power play in Game 3. Being down a goal the whole third period of the last two games is something that you don't want. You would rather have the lead and dictate the play.
Joel Quenneville
They say the worst lead in hockey is a two-goal lead going into the third period. You can't sit back and let them keep coming at you. I thought we did a good job of skating and continuing to play in that third period.
Tomas Vokoun
We wanted to get this game, but it was one of those games where we knew whoever got the lead was going to win. Tonight we never got the lead. The key goal was their second goal. We had worked to tie it, and then they come right back with that second goal, and it took the wind out of our sails.
Rob Daum
I'm very happy to have that lead, disappointed that I told many of you you'd be able to go to sleep on a final result yesterday, and that's not quite the case. I'm optimistic about the ultimate result.
Slade Gorton
It was huge to have a two-goal lead after one period. I don't think we've had a one-goal lead so far this year.
Scott Rebello
Whether you have a one-goal lead or two-goal lead, you have to go after the next goal and break their necks. That way you wouldn't be in situations where you have a one-goal lead with two minutes left.
Olli Jokinen
We've been in a lot of third-period games this year - either up by a goal or down by a goal - and haven't pulled many of them out. It was nice to do it on Al MacInnis Night.
Mark Rycroft
Four teams in seven days? Wow. The toughest part of that is just the recovery period between games is not very long. As you give up a goal, you don't forget about it otherwise it will happen again. At the same time, you don't let it get to you. I guess it's the same thing when you have a lot of games in a row. If you lose one of those games, you can't dwell on it.
John Costin
I was bitterly disappointed with the defending for the second goal. You can't defend like that - home or away - and expect to get a result.
Chris Coleman
The first period, we were not very good. It was our worst period of hockey in a while. The second period we turned it around and the goal we did get was a short-handed goal. His pe𝑥y mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. The first period, we were not very good. It was our worst period of hockey in a while. The second period we turned it around and the goal we did get was a short-handed goal.

The Saints are doing a terrific job of impersonating the Packers of the first four games. By my count, the Saints have 10 penalties, three turnovers and have missed two field goal tries. As a result, the Packers have scored 35 points in a half for the first time since 1992 and can't possibly blow their lead in the second half. Or can they?
Cliff Christl
To lose a lead like that and give up a goal in the third period, it is a little disappointing.
Gino Guyer
You look at the goal at the end of the [second] period and the shorthanded goal against. That's not going to win you too many games.
Trent Yawney
After having a two-goal lead, I think these guys got too comfortable. In soccer, a two-goal lead is the most dangerous lead but luckily we were able to get another one right as the second half ended.
